Maximum Ling Ling

After watching Memoirs Of A Geisha last night, which is a sick film by the way, i thought i would go on a semi oriental flex for this next piece. I first spied Graham Carters work as i was cruising down the overcrowded cobbled streets of Brighton when i caught a glimpse of his work in the art republic gallery. The thing that caught me most about his work is that it focuses on the surreal aspect of an otherwise mundane situation. In most cases the surreal aspect will be an out of place monster cruising through a normal quiet street or a tree morphing into a robot but the characteristic i find most appealing about his work is the smooth, curvy feel which gives it that oriental flavor. Reach the link below to check more of his pieces.
